After completing his graduation, Ishan connected to the Shiamak Davar dance training school to build up his dancing capability. Ishan Khattar was raised in an artistic family. So he flourishes his engrossment on the way to theater and initiate his career as a child artist in his brother’s movie named Vah! Life ho toh Aisi in 2005.
Ishan played assistant director to Abhishek movie (Udta Punjab) and to Danish movie (Half Widow). He was also having a supporting character in the movie Udta Punjab. He began his career as a leading character of a drug dealer role as Amir in Beyond the Clouds directed by well-known director Majid-Majid.
In 2018, Beyond the Clouds released in the theater and launched at BFI(London) in the Film Festival. In 2018, he emerged as his pop-up character in the Dhadak movie, which was a great profit-oriented achievement with more than 100 million dollars earning.
At the 5th international film festival, Ishan won a Trophy for Best Male Debut.
